NO, I DID NOT KILL THIS FOX.
This fox was wild, and caught. After being caught the hunter shot him, there, for the people who want to know how it died.
Not the most humane way, but life is life.
Also, he's dorsal cut sadly, so I couldnt stuff him and make him look chubfluff and show off his beautiful colors like I did my other red </3 sorry guys!
Now, this guy WAS going to be mounted and put up for sale, untillll I noticed some.. terrible things about him.
Problem 1: after trying to rehydrate his face so I could get measurements on his eyes and A measurement, his ears got a tad wet as well, and when I lifted him from his hydration bucket, there were chunks of black fur, low and behold, his ears slipped, badly.
Problem 2: After being curious about the ears, I turned his head inside out to see if they were even turned, low, and behold, they were not.
Problem 3: The tan inside of his head is black and brown, that, is not good, and a user I had talked to on here was surpirsed his head didn't fall apart.
Problem 4: While turning his hind legs back inside out [to the proper way] after rehdrating his feet [they were as well turned inside out, wanted to make sure his claws were there], his right hind leg tore.
So, once I get a reply from the seller of this fox, he sadly has to be shipped back to his old home, unless the seller just lets me keep him lol, then I might just sell the whole pelt for cheap, or cut the tail of, legs, etc, use it as scrap pieces and keep or sell the tail [which is SO pretty, it has a blackish rusty swirl going from his booty down to the tip of his tail, you can see it in the images, it goes all the way around]
Sucks such a pretty little guy was so poorly tanned and had slippage D': he would have made a very handsome soft mount. Oh well though.
Now let's be civil and respectful to other peoples views and opinions in the comment section. I'm not trying to irk those out there who are against Taxidermy, but trust me, I've heard your preaches a hundred times, I think it's time to keep them to yourself and move on.
As well; just because I own a fox pelt DOES NOT mean I don't like animals and care for their welfare, the red fox is my favorite animal, and I'd rather preserve it's beauty than let it rot.
